this kind of shit ppl say about latam countries is dumb af tbh. yes, all of latam was formed as settler colonies but why on earth would you want to balkanize global south countries? if anything, and it’s what we latinos been wanting to do, we should unite and build la patria grande. in the majority of cases we do not care that there are a ton of different ethnic groups, we rather unite. this is not to say certain groups shouldn’t receive more autonomy or even their own governance over their land, but it would be the equivalent to balkanize china because they have different ethnic groups.

the proper way is to treat every book as an independent published item. so if it’s in another language you use the target language as the title, add metadata to differenciate from another publication, etc. both books should still fall under the same author directory
