If you understood this basic math you speak of, you’d know that literally no govt ever lays down arms next to it’s citizens. Gun control is control of the populace. Nothing less. How can you say with a straight face that you support only the govt having firearms when the last 100 years have shown humanity what happens when govt has too much power. Every country that has taken away firearms has had not a decrease in violence but am increase! Are you aware that home invasions are higher after confiscation? Other violence too, but let’s just consider the horror of having armed invaders in your castle, raping and hurting your family.

1. Many men are total pussies and would never consider self defense to the point of killing someone something they would do.
2. Somewhat contradictally, people don’t trust themselves with a gun, so therefore, they don’t trust others with guns.
3. Feminism. Feminism raises mothering to a societal level. Women want everyone to be protected and safe via the a motherly govt overlord. Women intrinsically desire equal outcome. That requires communism. So any means to achieve that. Like authoritarianism.
4. The rise of Marxism and authoritarianism. Many people want to be told what to do. That only works on a broad scale if the people who refuse are unarmed.
5. Ignorance. Cognitive dissonance. Narcissism. Lack of critical thinking skills. Inability to set feelings aside and consider things logically.
6. Brainwashing. There’s about 3 generations that have grown up with commie public schools telling them guns are bad. I’ve converted quite a few democrats from gun fear to fun by just taking them shooting and covering the $40 worth of ammo they use up.

I hear you on the memory foam but hear me out. I want something firm but still very comfortable that won’t hurt from hardness in the morning. I like some support but not a ton and I hate sinking into a mattress like foam.

My old mattress crapped out about 5 years ago. I bought and returned several mattresses until I settled on the following. I have a fairly cheap firm mattress from a local store. Firm are normally cheaper by the way. I think it was 650 for a king. Then I bought a really nice 3" closed cell foam topper for $200. I expected it to only last a few years, but it’s still great. At least another couple years left. But the mattress is still like new because there’s zero cushion on it.

Every mattress will wear. But it’s primarily the cushion and weak springs that wear. So BFL is not reasonable but you can extend the life in certain circumstances. Since firm mattresses have hard springs and no cushion, they’ll last a lot longer. The topper is essentially the only real wear item. Since they come in different materials and thicknesses, you can dial in your preference easily.

I had to replace my bowl because my kids used metal spoons on it so much the coating was coming off. Annoying but great that I could buy a part for a 12 yo machine.

My single annoyance is the non replaceable battery. It lasted a decade, but I had to desolder it from the board to replace it. I ended up replacing the battery with a battery holder I got off ebay, so in several years when I have to replace it again I won’t have to solder anything.

I’ve had a few spools. I’ve found inland from micro center to be really good filament. I haven’t noticed much difference between the two. Also, there are some top tier filament manufacturers in the US. Pricey stuff but no more than prusa and shipping is free to low.

Except is VERY heavily weights certain sources.

I don’t understand how you guys can use blades for so long. That’s 1 blade per month. I tried about 20 brands. Feather was the best for me. I get 2 or 3 shaves. That’s it. All other brands i got 1 shave. I blew through 50 blades (bought in May) in the last 6 months. By the 3rd shave I’m getting nicks from dull spots.

The ROI on this space vs paying for a garage is about 8 years. That’s really not bad and I assume the price will go up over time, so it could even be a bit of an investment. When the spot is sold, you’ll probably get at least what you paid, which means you parked there for free for years.

This is a really good deal for a high professional that works in the area and needs a daily parking spot.

Sorry to burst your bubble on wind and solar… The amount of fiberglass and resin waste of astounding. The concrete trashes that particular spot for many hundreds of years. There are piles of birds in many areas with wind. And then solar… Oof… Most of the chemicals come from China. The slave labor, child labor, and toxic waste at the mines and refineries is just mind boggling. There’s a huge amount of work to do before wind and solar can be good options for humanity and the environment.

Nuclear has made great strides. We just don’t see those advances in the US unless you’re on a modern nuclear ship in the engine room. Europe has amazing modern designs. So does japan.
