  • Civilization V, especially considering it might often stay open all weekend on the second monitor. Also saw Eve Online mentioned; that took untold amounts of my life, but I’ve been clean for a long time o/. Arma 3 with it’s various mods also has well over a thousand, what with it’s endless modular gameplay and annoying ass realism (hiking sim). But right now at this very moment I’ve got X4 going on a few hundie. I’ve heard it called Eve Offline; I dunno if it’s exactly that, but it can be incredibly frustrating and clunky, but also crack cocaine. I think I’ve just barely figured out how to play it.

  • Indeed, though I believe it is a tiered club. Millionaires eat shit and do immoral/reprehensible things for their paycheck, and generally have to testify to the ideology in some fashion. Billionaires eat comfortably atop those particular servants, I’d speculate.

Kimmel’s in the millionaire tier and is very appropriately mediocre. It’s almost weird how he’s so much the same as when I was kid watching comedy central. Just a little more pc and mainstream (misogyny isn’t as broadly acceptable anymore, I guess?).

I just like that he’s bringing attention to the absolute disgrace of it all and a broad audience is at least in earshot. Like, maybe it’ll help. And I personally wouldn’t go so far as to give Trump credit for being correct about anything. Chalk that up to broken clock syndrome.

Ya know, I don’t really like Kimmel: growing up he and Adam Carolla (lol) did the man show, and even as a kid I just thought he was a not-funny low brow asshole. But I’m glad he’s stirring the shit-pot here. Let it not be a typical media distraction, but a continual provocation for these pricks to be sloppy and show their hand, and a call to action for enough of the American people to wake up and start saying no to the shit that is eating them alive.

  • I had never quite realized just how much the second amendment was basically: we might need an army at a moments notice, certainly allowances of weaponry would be appropriate, even the organization of militias. And I don’t know if the founding fathers or anyone back then could have imagined what the human population would grow to in a few centuries. This rule could never have accounted for a population of over 300 million, without even accounting for cultural and psychosocial alterations of time and technology. Back then maybe a militia could have effected a coup, but today it would be hopeless even if a large number organized they would be caught in surveillance dragnet and/or egregiously overmatched. Makes me feel like it should be harped on more that the second amendment in present context is too often misrepresented.
