6 months agoQualcomm modem which come with Snapdragon 8 gen 2 SoC definitely support VoLTE. Sony is not allowed to change it. Could only disable VoLTE in Android, but there is no reason to do it.

VoLTE very likely. Do you know if the carrier uses whitelist? Might have a way to check if the IMEI is allowed from carrier.
Need a mainline kernel to support the SoC. Generic ARM distribution only came then. It will take time for RISC-V as well.
