Communities are much better at identifying and coming up with solutions for their own needs than a faraway capitol could ever be. Linking communities by bioregion (instead of existing state lines) and having them cooperate to make larger decisions would be a workable alternative.

Whatever you personally think about these features, you’ll never convince the general public to do without them. We need widespread linux phone adoption as table stakes to affect our mobile world.
Organize their friends and family to publicize the case. Call the media. Ask around at protests
The NYT video story on the federal building that houses immigration court AND ICE is scary. ICE just needs to wait for you to walk out of your hearing to catch you and then detain you on another floor. Got me thinking though that a great way to protest/disrupt ICE is get a crowd of people to simply dress up like them and then swarm them. Too easy to get a dumb thin blue line/punisher themed face mask, Oakley’s and whatever vest/armor they wear.
Dom/sub is not hierarchy, it’s a consensual relationship between people.
Hierarchy is an institutional set of involuntary command/control relationships
The best strategy in an emergency is always mostly cooperation. There will be some awful behavior to look out for, plus with zombies you’ll need a means of keeping them out and screening people for signs of zombification, but it’ll be hard to survive and do that stuff without a community. Many hands, diversity of skills, people to talk to, etc.
Don’t pose these two things as a tradeoff. Protecting kids means a habitable planet and a world in which we protect them from predatory behavior. Also it’s really about surveillance, not protection.
People ignore stop signs and bike lanes not because they don’t understand them, but because they willfully ignore them (and the bike lanes are not physically separated). There would be a learning period, but if they were common enough, Americans would learn to use a turbo roundabout, though the same conditions that make them blow through stop signs (or red lights!) would also affect turbo roundabouts some way. I have been in regular roundabouts in the US that people seemed to understand just fine.
It’s basically because gender rules and sexism were being pushed onto children at an ever younger age.
There’s noting natural or eternal about it, it reflects prevailing biases in society.
Linux phone operating systems aren’t ready for daily use yet, but they are being actively developed. https://linmob.net/
Either is fine as a discipline, as long as the program is tailored to kids her age. More important is the environment in the specific gym/dojo she goes to. It should be fun, supportive, and not put too much pressure on the kids.
You could lazily ask that question or you can actually read about how anarchist and communist societies are formed and destroyed (hint: often by outside armies when theyve only just begun). Capitalism clearly doesn’t work for anyone but the rich & powerful, so we need to try something different. No one has The One True Answer, we have to build the new world starting from where we are.
I agree that social democracy would be a big improvement over the terribly cruel form of capitalism we have today. I would make further changes than just that, but we can choose not to fight each other at least until we get that far. Organize together instead of infighting.

Asking someone about their day just a way to check in with your partner or spouse or friend. It can be an invitation to vent about work, show interest in a project they’re working on, or offer them some adult conversation if they have been with children all day.
Recounting every detail isn’t necessary. I try to stick to funny or notable moments. It’s more a desire for connection than a desire for a precise accounting and i’m glad to skip it if there’s something more interesting to talk about.
