Graphics are good though.

I use Book Reader (it’s on F-Droid) for my phone, which works well enough… don’t know how it performs on a tablet or if it has the features you’re looking for.
I would wholeheartedly recommend a dedicated e-reader with E-Ink display for more ‘serious’ reading (I have a Tolino for the evenings/bed. Depending on where you are located you could also look into PocketBooks or Kobos… just make sure they’re not chaining you to a closed ecosystem like Kindles).
Well, but that’s not it…
And when he isn’t (e.g. dislike of children) he has the strongest will to overcome his inadequacies. I wonder: was there an instance in which he didn’t win? (In TNG, never liked the ‘Picard’ show.)
So yeah, he wins this contest easy. As to who I like the most: Sisko.
Nice. I’ll send this to a friend how isn’t in the fediverse (yet?).
I thought it was “Workers of the World relax!”
Sounds to me like you were just looking for an excuse to do something you’re not totally convinced is the right thing… Your comment also reads way more aggressive than it would have had to be, which makes me think that vegan got to you more than you’d like. But that’s just me. And I’m in permanent conflict myself for trying to eat vegan myself and raising two kids (as predominately vegetarian omnivores - if that makes any sense.)
May I ask you nicely then? Because I think they have a point…
Hey, thanks for your post. I’m not from the US and the bit about the hostages was unknown to me.
Sounds like a parallel to what was going on with the military help for Ukraine just now…
True, that is what the concept has become. But we need to remember that “third place” originally ment places of business like pubs, cafés, barbershops etc.
Modern cities do need the kind of places you ment - not more malls or apple stores (think I read that it’s a new trend to have those resemble places you can casually chill so they can casually sell you their stuff).
I can’t believe these are the times we live in. The services of the Internet Archive are invaluable for scholars and students alike. No library can afford all the printed books/journals or licenses needed for an adequate approach to most topics. And to be honest, shadow libraries are also much needed when publishers lock away vital knowledge (which was often gained through support from public grants).
This seems just another example of how capitalism will bring about the downfall of our civilization as it hinders the progress of science.
Thank you.
