Being satisfied with an “AI” relationship implies that you haven’t experienced human connection or couldn’t appreciate it. “AI” girlfriends are more like a prosthetic than an alternative.

I’ve often wondered if the priest/ monk class in the middle-ages wasn’t a social program for dudes who just weren’t going to be productive any other way. Just lock away the incels together and let them brew beer and breed pea plants.

  • This is jaw dropping. I wonder if this is pressure by the Trump regime to get Israel to get in line behind whatever Iran deal Trump can conjure.

Vance has publicly rebuked Israel to be “careful” with it’s most powerful ally. Netanyahu then rejected Trump’s peace plan. Friction from a normally sycophantic Huckabee may a signal that America’s love isn’t unconditional.

Whatever private channels of leverage Israel has in the US, they appear to be weak.

Despite what Alex Jones will tell you, Israel is a vassal state to the US, not the other way round. It may seem confusing considering how bad of an ally Israel is. But that’s my point, people on the left and right are starting to wonder if Israel is more trouble than she’s worth.

  • Everything special about this man was true when he still had an umbilical chord.

He and Trump are what happens to generational wealth. You have clever criminals like Trump’s dad and Grandad, and Joseph Kennedy, only for three generations to pass and your left with stupid criminals.

I think that the Trump and Kennedy names belong next to each other. Even if it does ruin the opera for rich cunts.

  • Blood Meridian (McCarthy) is the only book I finished, turned to the first page and read again immediately because I didn’t feel like I got it the first time.

Confederacy of Dunces (Toole) has some of the most unique characters I’ve ever read. The story of how it got published and won a Pulitzer is almost as crazy as the plot.

There is no Antimemetics division (qntm) is rather derivative of the “SCP Foundation” weblore, but it drills down so hard on the idea of creatures that consume, steal, or are powered by human memory that the plot will bend your mind and delight your imagination. Best science fiction I read in forever.

  • Abraham Lincoln didn’t free the slaves Slaves fought for their rights and freed themselves.

Lincoln is the most pro-black president in history and it’s not close. His personal prejudice and treatment of Natives are irrelevant to the fact that emaciation being a war goal was his decision and wasn’t inevitable. It’s easy to see how a lesser president (like Johnson) would’ve made peace with an intact slaver society.

If you want to argue who the formally enslaved have to thank for their emancipation, I’d argue that the Confederates are the proximate cause. It was the slavers who started the rebellion that forced the issue. It was the slavers fighting for slavery that conjured fatal opposition that didn’t exist before.

I don’t want to minimize the struggle enslaved people faced. But only a tiny number of enslaved or formally enslaved people even participated in the war. They certainly didn’t rise up and overthrow slavery.
