    I’m curious if you’re legitimately unaware of the issues with Proton, or if you’re pretending. The former implies you’re just not following the latest news and updates in privacy and security, and you’re out of touch. That calls into question your expertise.

    The latter suggests you have an agenda to promote Proton for whatever reason (I would assume it’s just because they pay you, which isn’t nefarious but it shades your advice). Either way, that calls into question your objectivity.

    If it is the latter, and Proton is a sponsor, it would be better to simply be transparent, acknowledge the issues and tow the company line. Playing dumb is a bad look.
