      in case you really didn’t know AVL is the airport code for asheville, so some people just say “AVL” similar to how people say “ATL” for atlanta

        I missed it at first, but figured it out before I responded. I was just being silly. Gainesville is the same with GNV.

        Wait you guys have an Asheville and a nAsheville? Are they on opposite sides of the state at least?

      Oops, sorry. I didn’t even think about it. It’s how Asheville is most commonly written out in text messages, etc. We’ve also got WVL for Weaverville, not to be confused with WAVL which is West Asheville 😂
