The comment could undermine European countries’ push at COP30 to move away from coal, oil and gas.

What fucking push? I’m so tired of everyone treating european countries like they’re not just absolute monsters who will kill everyone and everything for minor benefit to them. Everyone in charge in europe is some shade of i-am-adolf-hitler.

It’s a bold new strategy of battling the symptoms while enthusiastically funding the disease. A perfect, nonsensical stance to ensure the arsonists remain in charge of the fire department.

so much of the modern era results in crimes perpetrated against language itself

  • We are not against war.
    We are against death.

    END COMMUNICATION

anyway, i heard like almost 20 years ago that the logic behind saying “cut emissions” instead of “cease/slow/reduce burning fossil fuels” is that the house of saud considered it a non negotiable condition of participation in any talks. they are totally cool with “reducing emissions” language, but consider any controls on fossil fuels to be an existential threat.

so it’s one of those cool dances the puppets do to make wealthy people feel unafraid while the biosphere collapses.
