minus-squareeskimofry@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up31arrow-down3·10 days agoA world wide pandemic and lockdown might as well be what saves the planet from further warming… or at least bide us some time.
minus-squareBeaver @lemmy.caOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up41arrow-down1·10 days agoEnding fossil fuels and animal agriculture are pretty good options.
minus-squareLost_My_Mind@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4arrow-down60·10 days agoYour name is BEAVER and you’re a she/her??? I don’t know any joke I could make could be funnier than that on it’s own!
minus-squarefartington@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up16arrow-down1·10 days agoIronically, you did make us all laugh, good job.
minus-squareBeaver @lemmy.caOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up20arrow-down1·10 days agoBroooo whyyy. I didn’t know the innuendo, I literally thought it innocently like a girl beaver making dams.

minus-squareCornelius_Wangenheim@lemmy.worldcakelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·10 days agoUnlikely. The COVID lockdowns only decreased carbon emissions ~8%.
minus-squarenilloc@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up14·10 days agoA 30% mortality rate would probably do a lot more than that over the long term. Especially if it’s the coal rolling dude bros who get it from raw milk. Plus it was an 8% reduction we never would have gotten otherwise. I’ll take it!
minus-squareEnkrod@feddit.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3arrow-down2·10 days agoAs of right now we’d only have to quarantine the US… just like we might do in November
minus-squareLuvs2Spuj@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·10 days agoBut inaction, conspiracy and stupidity would ensure a global spread like last time. (Take your pick for birdflu/November)
minus-squareslimarev92@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2arrow-down4·10 days agoDo you volunteer to be sacrificed for the good of your planet or nah?
