      Got to disagree with you on this one.

      Depending on the implementation, this might be an efficient approach.

      If anything they are likely overplaying the AI angle for PR reasons.

        I know. Detecting enemy vessels is fundamentally a Digital Signal Processing problem and yes, some form of ML might be beneficial for it. But, none of that is mentioned in the article. I hate this catch-all term “AI”. It is starting to not mean much because everything is being called AI now.
