In this episode of bird security we’re taking aim at some feathered fiends. First we’ll be looking at the “big five”. The flying ferals who went from bird bath to bloodbath. Then we turn our attention to some of those lesser known arrivals. Who are they? How did they get here? And why they such c*nts?

Why don’t we eat pigeon still? Now i want to try it, is it nice? Could pigeon be the next wave in the alternative meats trend.
You could have V-shaped pastry pockets filled with a saucy pigeon mix, call them Pigeon Smugglers.
Could build yourself a dovecot and have fresh meat all year round it seems. Unless your neighbours burn your house down for building a dovecot.
They look boney and loads more work/less meat than chicken. I wouldn’t be against st trying it, but I can’t see them becoming a mainstay.
Interesting that they mention a decrease in sparrow numbers because that is something I’ve noticed too. Go back 20 years to my childhood and sparrows seemed to be all over the place, now they’re a more occasional street bird.
