$3.68/gal is just under $1/L, or 0.85€ / L. Still insanely cheap.
I’ve seen diesel at 2,2€/L here in northern europe for comparison.
I’ve seen 2.5€/L in the Netherlands, similar for diesel and 95, 95 a hair cheaper. Even the “cheap” stations are over 2.2€. Thanks Obama!
Yep in freedom units we’re seeing 91 octane at $6.50 a gallon in NZ
No reason to even be that cheap. It just encourages waste. Should be $8-10 a gallon. Maybe we can stupid our way out of cheap gas.
This is self inflicted pain. They are so used to extremely cheap gas that they don’t even consider efficiency when making or buying a car. Now that gas prices are a bit less cheap (mind you, having gas under 1€/lt is still insanely cheap), they cry because their gas guzzling trucks won’t even start without eating 5 lt of gas.
Meanwhile, in the civilized world, where gas prices have been high for years, people have cars that run with much less gas per km and many are even passing to EVs because yeah, 2€/lt have been the normal price for a while now.
But hey, let’s cry, because poor usians have to pay (the horror!!): around $1/lt of gas!!!
Oh no, have you tried bombing another school?
