In the interwar period in Britain, they made these giant concrete parabola “acoustic mirrors” that reflected ambient sound towards one spot, and a person’s job would be to sit at that spot and listen for planes and zeppelins. We should bring that back.

yeah i thought they had a star trek style cloaking device until i was told about the radar thing
a bit later in life, i was surprised how quiet a B2 that did a pass during an air show was though. didn’t hear it until directly overhead.
