Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told Lex Fridman in a Monday podcast interview that he believed AGI had been achieved, then seemed to slightly walk back the claim.
But Huang then seemed to slightly walk back his earlier claims, saying, “A lot of people use it for a couple of months and it kind of dies away. Now, the odds of 100,000 of those agents building Nvidia is zero percent.”
Chatbots can’t do his job because he’s done his job and he’s seen what chatbots can do and he can see that they’re not up to the task. That’s true. The bullshit is when he thinks they can do everyone else’s job. He can’t see or understand what other people do, so he figures they can be replaced by a slurry of the words they use. In short:
“it just kind of dies, like it goes ‘having a job sucks and it stole my drive to continue’ then kills its self out of sheer will. it’s broken so we stopped using it”
