They literally can’t even larp in Minecraft that they can do anything of importance at resisting fascism, not even like a “punch nazis” PvP event or something, even their larp session has to be a civil obedient slave march

I bet my ass they’re going to be waving Ukraine banners, both sidesing the Iran war, and calling Trump a Russian

      the US population

Tbh, I mostly think it’s white suburban libs. Black and indigenous people have long histories of, often very violent, resistance. But y’know… The whole settler Colonialism thing made a lot of white suburban libs, so that’s who we tend to hear from.

There’s people like Zizek who think that it’s good the Conservative (like trump) wins, because it shows how evil they are. I think that’s wrong. The Correct approach is electing a lib and forcing them into a checkmate where they either act or self-sabotage. Of course the obvious problem with my proposition is that the moment the Lib is elected they’d be smart enough to give people treats and they’d stop pushing them, so it’d preserve the statue quo.

Honestly I’m not smart enough to figure out what to do here. I really hope someone out there is. It’s easy to say “Just make your own party” but then why am I not doing it?

Push them into acting!? What? How is that possible? I don’t think it’s realistic.

These people know neither shame, nor embarrassment, nor obligation to grow a spine and stand up for anything.

Why? They get paid either way, win or lose it doesn’t matter, the American people are suckers who fall for the same trick again and again, like a broken record, like a bad joke that’s ran its course, and it’s not funny, it’s fucking appalling, it’s sad.

Even if the democrats shit the bed, like they have, many times in fact, people will still fall for the same tricks.

              stress

I think people think I’m saying: “If you Vote in the Good cop then things will get better, than the Bad cop.”

                Here’s what I’m saying:

“If you can’t vote out the cop, then make the good cop have to start beating people.”

Why are you allowing them to lose and let their attack dog loose? Can’t you see through it? Do you think they’re so ignorant they don’t know how to throw up a popular campaign? Those people are literally friends with each other like jfc

They can self-sabotage enough to deliberately lose, there is nothing the left can do to avoid that. There is no beating the turnismo by its rules, only by throwing the system out.

All these people suck obvs but what anyone still sees in the charisma black hole that is pete is beyond me. I had lib friends in 2020 who were like “yeah I like Buttigieg he has good things to say!” and I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough

What could the point of virtual protest even be? Even makes it easier to identify the typical participant if you had any interest in doing so while ensuring that it isn’t visible let alone impactful to anyone who doesn’t already agree with you.

there are virtual protests that actually might accomplish something, like flooding anti-trans tip forms with garbage data, poisoning databases, things that stay on the legal side of a ddos attack.

i don’t know how a bunch of people playing minecraft at the same time would even accomplish the networking or recruitment that some comrades have reported their local PSL or DSA making marginal gains out of these lib parades.

Right… people are so afraid of violence while the right revels in it.

You’re right about marginal gains. I was there, handed out a ton of flyers and had lots of short organizing conversations and maybe some of the people we reached will show up at the 101 next week and learn something about Socialism. Or they will just keep putting frogs on their signs…

Libs believe that when 3.5% of the population protests there’s an automatic change of government, so by trying to get more people to “protest”, they expect a sudden government change.

I was actually impressed with our local no kings. They actually had some mutal aid stuff and called it a community event instead of a protest. Also talks about local issues.

But based off the pics I’ve seen, a lot of others have a long way to go

  • “yeah the Minecraft revolution will succeed! umm… we will… play Minecraft virtually, non-violently, and… protest this kingly injustice!”

at this point it’s more of an invitation to play on a Minecraft SMP than any political action…

I know we had a big ol’ struggle session over no kings the first time, and I don’t want to bring it back up and make everyone fight again, but I will say I HIGHLY dislike these “protests” and the big ol’ waste of time they are.
