Watching these chickadees build their nest was a cool experience. One would fly into the cavity, grab some wood chips, and drop them away from the nest. The other would patiently wait to follow suit. They’re such a great team.



I love the noise these little birds make. It makes me happy when I hear it.
They are quite chatty. From what I understand they have their own sophisticated language and syntax. A scientist in Japan was able to decipher the Japanese tit’s language to issue commands. Here’s an interesting video about it. They are one of the smartest birds we have.
