I thought this was one of those joking comments where the punchline is “they’re both dead.” Then I was saddened to discover another demon is nearing 100 years old. I don’t know what Lindsey did for Satan to revoke his own extended life in exchange for being a demonic piece of shit for 70 years… but George must be keeping to his contract
Also based on his age I assumed his son had to be ~70. Nope. Only 40. He married a woman 20 years younger than him when he was 50 something and she was 30 something. That’s how we have Alex who just turned 40 with a father who is 95. Yep. Great world. Great people.

I always wondered why the right hated Soros so much. Like, sure, there’s the antisemitism and him aligning himself with the democrat party, but…that can’t be all, can it? If they actually took a look at him, they’d probably agree on a ton more. Feels like I’m missing something, but I know better than to expect that much from
I think it’s basically that the working class is increasingly realizing that the oligarchs are fucking them over, but due to decades of indoctrination they’re unable to generalize this idea. So, they can’t bring themselves to accept that there is a ruling class, and that it’s a systemic issue. Instead, they lash out at individual oligarchs who are on the socially liberal spectrum. The liberals are doing exactly the same thing incidentally. Except for them it’s people like Musk and Thiel.
That rings true.

Obama cracked down on protests all over the country, continued increasing defense and ICE spending, kept increasing deportations, went after Syria and Libya while continuing Iraq and Afghanistan (and bombed Yemen, Somalia, and Packistan), continued fairly austere fiscal measures, kept saber rattling, kept drilling and kicking the greenhouse gas problem down the road…
Liberals and conservatives have to keep the facade going, because if they realize there isn’t really that much of a difference, their world view collapses
