Universal knows for a fact that Musk will sue them the moment that film is released, and because of who he is, how much money he has, and who he knows, it won’t be the average lawsuit. But so what? Universal is a big company, and they got big because of American economic policies. Now is their chance to give back, and exercise their responsibility to defend the First Amendment.

Carr, of course, oversees an agency that wields enormous power over media companies and currently is conducting an investigation into Comcast’s DEI practices.

Why can’t companies operate their personnel any way they want, as long as they aren’t discriminating against anyone?

Universal would be required to pay filmmakers a kill fee not to release the movie, according to a person familiar with the deal’s structure. The filmmakers would then be free to sell it anew, essentially allowing it to profit twice off the same rights sale.

And apparently there are international distributors that would LOVE to get their hands on this documentary, so it is likely to end up being legally shown everywhere but America, the Home of the Free®.

      Why can’t companies…

Not sure if you’re serious because you’re from .world. Do you think the current government is focused on Comcast because of the DEI not being good enough or not being followed? That’s not the case and there’s currently an ongoing campaign to weaken or eliminate DEI.

If you think DEI isn’t necessary, do you also think the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was frivolous?

MAGA is focused on PUNISHING companies for having DEI policies. Some companies, usually the most likely sociopathic companies, only had DEI policies because they thought it was good for business, and were happy to eject them as soon as they could.

So if a company feels that DEI policies are a moral corporate position to take, why should MAGA stick their tiny dicks into the situation?

I was standing UP for companies that still have DEI policies.

Absolutely. We need this message in every form possible to reach as many ears as possible. There are still people who believe that simply because he’s so wealthy, he must be a great person.

I’m personally in the early stages of my “Musk is an Asshole” operetta, but I’m all for these newfangled methods, too.

My aunt and uncle are still fans of him. My aunt literally told me “I know he’s kinda crazy, but he’s also super smart!”

I just keep my mouth shut because they’re loaded and will not change their opinion no matter what. They’ve read his biography and take it as gospel for his life and keep trying to get me to read it.

You should ask her why she thinks he’s smart to find out how dumb she actually is.

When she says “because he’s loaded” you can point out all the stupid rich people there are in the world. Kanye West would be a good place to start. There’s no shortage of examples though. Hell, if your aunt is loaded you could just hold up a mirror.

That would either fly right over her head, or she might actually find some way to defend Kanye

This very common in the US, I have some wealthy relatives that think he is a genius, and they have said they same about Trump. When you try to poke holes on their arguments it falls on deaf ears.

Then someone steal it and release it. Fuck these pieces of shit. They want to know everything we do at all time, yet want to keep private everything they do. Drag their lives into the light, kicking and screaming, to be judged by the largest jury of their peers, the general public.

Did Universal ever release a Hitler documentary? Just wondering for comparison purposes.
