I think I have something called Broad Autism Phenotype or, delightfully, BAP, which is a mixed grab bag of traits without the fully diagnosable presentation officially sanctioned as autism.
I find that a lot of autism does apply to me, but a lot of it also does not apply to me. But you’d be amazed at how critically disabling it is to value truth over loyalty, even absent any neuro-social deficits. Or how critically disabling it is to not want to pretend to like people when you don’t (which is just a manifestation of valuing truth)… Or maybe you wouldn’t be surprised at all.
