A take on MC Escher’s artwork “Drawing Hands”.
In the original, two hands, one right, one left, come to life from the paper on which they are drawn, to draw each other.
In this variation, one of the hands is human and drawing the other, whereas the other hand is robotic and holding the other end of the pencil to erase the human hand.

It really is, not much more to be said
This is blaming the tech and not the abject greed of the owners/developers of the tech. Put the punchable faces of altman, zuck, and crew for the instigators. This effectively shields the perpetrators with tech which could in theory be developed ethically.
I don’t care whether sycophantic chatbots/image and code sloplaundering can be an ethical product.
I don’t think I’ve heard of an example of an llm producing something not in the training set that didn’t turn out to be stolen from one of their users.
I guess you could argue that cigarettes or phone gambling apps could be developed ethically, but if so that is thin thin gruel.
You can add a human hand with a giant jewel ring and a whip behind the human hand.

Relax with the drama
Altman has mentioned human extinction and replacement with llms as a desired goal more than once. These people are fucking insane religious zealots.
I know it seems like they’re just lying sacks of shit but it’s worse than that.
Yes, the most evil people are running the world, that has little to do with AI.
The fact that they’re also the biggest AI boosters should tell you something imo.
They are tech boosters, because they have weaponized tech against society. But the main culprit are social networks, Twitter, Facebook, Google.
Those are killing democracy, I don’t see how relevant a role AI plays on all that.

Seriously I read it as ai erasing humanity. Art though? No, it would be like 1,000,000 real hands drawing one ai hand that draws 1,000,000 drawn hands.
