Lmao at thinking any human being can be perfect at all times. Lemmy never ceases to amaze me with how delusional it is

Lmao at thinking putting a cart back makes you perfect. It just means you aren’t a selfish cunt, which is a really, really, really, really low baseline expectation.

The fact that all of you are this bent out of shape over shopping carts is both really funny and really sad.

Dude the context of the current post IS shopping carts, you can use the argument for most minor inconveniences. It’s okay to be a dick and don’t do said thing, honestly and non sarcastically, but don’t be a hypocrite.

Note I started this convo by saying that not putting the cart back is a dick move. So I’m not really sure how I’m being a hypocrite here? My whole point was that just because someone chooses to occasionally be selfish, does not mean they are incapable of self governing, people have different priorities, and there are FAR more impactful things I can spend my limited energy on than whether or not I put a cart back (Which I usually do btw, like I agreed at the start, its a dick move not to). That being said, arguing with people on lemmy isnt really a high impact use of my energy either xD

And all I meant is that it is okay to not being able to govern your self. Not everyone is capable of that.

As is clear from your edit in the original comment.

The fact that you think anything negative is a big deal is both really funny and really sad. I think you’re a loser, but it doesn’t actually affect me at all 🤷‍♂️

Is this an issue of executive dysfunction? Putting the cart back is such a trivial task that I have a hard time attributing it to laziness. It doesn’t sound like you’re doing it on purpose to be a dick either. Do you find that you sometimes can’t do other things that should also be trivially simple? Like getting up off the couch to grab something two feet away, or deciding that lunch is too complicated because you need to put it in the microwave? My partner and I have both gone through this for most of our lives and it really sucks, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

So you should really stop calling it laziness. It’s doing a disservice to yourself and anyone else suffering from the same issue. An inability to complete simple tasks when your brain is actively working against you is not a character flaw.
