It’s also been known that when laying track over large distances, a site of archeological importance has been discovered, this can delay the project for years whilst it’s examined.

In the late 90’s UK it was a huge show, everyone really liked it, it was one of the first binge serials I can remember. I’ve not watched it for 25 years, maybe worth revisiting, although reading through the comments, seems it hasn’t aged well. It’s always sunny in Philadelphia is probably a better re-watch these days, it’s like extreme (anti) Friends on crack.

With Windows 12 rumoured to be a subscription model, yes definitely. Enterprise will buy up the subscriptions, home users will look elsewhere. Apple will take its share of course, their products are too pricey for a lot of people though. Linux is the only real option for folks who value owning their data.
Do you think Trump regrets his tariff flex now?

2·11 months agoThis honestly doesn’t seem that bad at all, you can change at Clapham junction and get a train to Victoria very easily. Also Vauxhall is only closed for a couple of days which has underground and bus stations. Good to know about these things but the engineering works won’t stop people getting in/out of London.
I’d invest in a used x86 SFF PC over a RPI for performance, you will pick one up cheap and it’ll be way better suited for a media server over a RPI.
Look into Tailscale for remote access. Very easy to setup and their free tier is generous. (100 devices I believe).
Yep, been using freshrss for years, works great.

2·1 year agoIt’s a crying shame that he’s seemingly now devoted his entire life to an anti trans viewpoint. Regardless of his beliefs, he was a very talented and creative comedy writer, should have stuck to what he knows. It seems like the guy has had some sort of breakdown which has altered his perception of the world.
I’d highly recommend The Late Night Linux family of podcasts. Very Linux/FOSS centric but they do often cover wider tech news, particularly on the 2.5Admins podcast. Interesting discussion points from well informed hosts.
