Selling the airports is scary. The 407 is said to be the most profitable company in Canada. Selling highway 407 created a constant profit pool that is now too expensive to return to the province. It’s doubtful it ever reached its volume promises and this is wasting public resources. High charges keep many away. Will the airports become equally undersubscribed due to sweet spot profit pricing and unusable by everyone driving on the QEW?
