Sitting in a airport the other day. Three upper twenty-somethings nearby debating some bullshit about some YouTuber drama like it affected them personally. I’m biting my tongue thinking, “Bitch, the world is falling apart and this is what’s on your mind?” I knew in that moment that I was one of the all too few who were not being actively distracted. Never felt so helpless.
It’s nicer to not think about it often, the constant reminders are more than enough.
