Posting this whenever I get reminded what country I live in
Don’t think I’ve seen any other piece of media really capture the vibe of things being moderately cheerful at small scale, then the sudden intrusion of insane violence, then the amnesia and return to cheer. It has aged incredibly well.
cool fact: the director of this video (Hiro Murai) is a frequent collaborator with Donald Glover and probably one of my favorite creators, in media, in general right now. he is a genius and master of the craft.

all 4 of these shows are, in my opinion, absolutely elevated television and his contribution is tangible. i haven’t seen his entire body of work, but i’ll get there. i know we make fun of “prestige TV”, but if such a thing can be said to exist, this guy is a big part.
