I’ll watch no anime for months, then I’ll find a show I really like and watch 6 episodes a day. Dungeon Meshi was that show recently.
Hell yeah !dungeonmeshi@ani.social
Same.
In my case, Gundam: Witch from Mercury was the one that single-handedly brought me back into anime after 4?+ years of not watching.
Man, WFM was so so good. I absolutely loved the sound design.
S1 Ending Spoiler
I also really loved how they almost bamboozled us into thinking it was a lighthearted Mecha-School anime, and then BOOM. WAR CRIMES! WE’RE A REAL GUNDAM SERIES!! :::
There’s proper spoiler tagging.
Looks like this.
This is hidden.
You start it with
::: spoiler
and put the content on a new line, then end it with:::
.To give it a title just write it after the

, on the same line.Ah, I see what’s happened - I’m on mobile with Sync, and it doesn’t support that markdown. I had to open this thread in a browser to even see your comment formatted correctly.
I know thunder supports it. Don’t know about other apps.
I go weeks at a time without anime, find a show I really like, get 7 eps deep and then find another show I like, then end up watching Gunhed.
I never go back to the unfinished anime, forget what it was or that I ever watched it, then find it again months later and wonder why the first 7 eps are already watched.
I’m almost done with the first season of Frieren. Started last year. Awesome show so I’m taking my time with it.
It’s what Himmel would have done.
I haven’t watched an episode in 7 years
True anime fan
Me either. Not of a new series at least. Why can’t I find something that catches my attention? Time to rewatch all the ghost in the shells I guess
20 episodes in a single day is a slog, even for a show you like.
Unless you’re watching a dub, you can’t just listen, you have to be watching the whole time otherwise you miss the sub and have to go back - so you have to be giving your full concentration.
Personally I find it quite hard to my full concentration for more than a couple of hours - nevermind the 7 hours it would take to pull this off.
I will often start a show I want to see the action on in dub, but the first picosecond of voice I hear that I don’t like I immediately switch to sub. But most romcom stuff or anything that isn’t a mecha or flashy action anime I just start directly in sub.
If I’m really into a show I am still able to pull a marathon like the days of old.
3 episodes in one sitting is like my max, even if the show is interesting.
My kids started getting into one piece, an Anime I admittedly never watched, so I watch it with them. I get the hype now, there have been several times we’ve torn through 8+ episodes in one sitting. Skip Intro makes it fly by.
Im a seasonal andy and I watch 1-3 episodes of different shows a day. Depends on how the seasons stacks up for what shows I like are on what days
I rarely watch on my own, I usually invite friends over and we’ll marathon some shows on the projector.
More like we watch 1 ep per week, an hope a new release is available next week.
I wait until all the episode is release and see if its faithful to the manga or not.
I don’t read manga so don’t have to worry about that.
I prefer watching older anime or read the manga if it’s being adapted. Waiting a month for each episode is painful.
Attack of titans made me wait a month for each installment though. I remember zooming in and appreciating the detailed art (not the best) to spend more time with each edition.
