Feels like a good place to remind English speakers who want to travel that they can live abroad for under $500 a month teaching English earning $2500-$10,000 USD a month for 10-40 hrs a week, depending on how much you want to work.
If anyone in the US wants to avoid participating in the exploitative US work system detailed in the video, I’m happy to share my experience and offer advice.
It’s going to be easier and better paid if you have a college degree (anything will work). And the best thing is that you don’t need to worry about student debt.
Easier, although a 2-week TEFL certification often carries more weight than a bachelor’s.
They also won’t have to worry about healthcare, transportation, income taxes and a good number of other financial/social/political burdens.
