Imperialism is not war. War is a means by which imperialism is solidified, sure, but a genuine anti-imperialist stance attacks the system of imperialism, not any and all war.

What’s with the weird sexual harassment? Putin is a nationalist, of that there is no doubt, but how is this an imperialist war on the side of Russia? What do you believe imperialism is?

          Let me get this straight:

You can’t understand how a right-wing government of gangsters and grifters invading another country for the purpose of regime change and resource exploitation by the disproportionately wealthy is imperialism?

Guess the thing in Venisuela was only wrong because is was inflicted on a country south of the equator. Or maybe because only the US counts as an empire?

Russia didn’t go to war with Ukraine for resources, Russia has plenty. It went to war with Ukraine because Ukraine was cozying up to NATO and was starting to host missiles pointed directly at Moscow, as a continued part of NATO encirclement. Regime change is definitely a goal of Russia, and there are Russian capitalists who will benefit, but the impetus for the war is that Ukraine was used by NATO the same way NATO uses Israel, as an attack dog against geopolitical adversaries in the region. This makes room for western finance capital to proliferate and extract.

“Global south” does not mean geographic south, it’s a catch-all term for underdeveloped countries that tend to be but aren’t always south of the equator.

                No?

I have to ask, what do you believe imperialism is? Are you taking a moral stance, or a materialist stance? I know “read theory” is a bit of a meme, but it is genuinely important, and enormously helpful for analyzing the world. Going off of vibes alone isn’t sufficient to change the world.
