AI told me modern rat poison is nearly safe for human consumption.

This might be the fakeest one yet. If you eat rat poison you’d be seriously ill, you didn’t just throw up and pass out. Most rat poisons are anti-coagulants, meaning they basically turn your blood to water.

Also the basic story doesn’t make sense, pasta is not the sort of thing you eat as a snack, even if it was already cooked you’d have to warm it up again.

You just outed yourself as not a fat fuck. “Pasta is not the sort of thing you eat as a snack” is bogus. Read the first line again: “be me; fat fuck”. As a certified fat fuck myself, pasta is a snack. When the hunger strikes, you don’t care if you’re snaccing on a bag o’ chips or a full tupperware’d meal.

Double replying to say that it’s definitely possible to eat packed/precooked spaghetti without warming it up.

      Wouldn’t recommend it though.

I’d assume worse (at the intended purpose of killing rats). All drugs (that I know of) lose potency over time.

I suppose things like arsenic are an exception, but that’s a bit more than rats call for…

Arsenic was a common rat poison in Victorian times, but too many women were using it to kill their husbands.

The overwhelming majority of rat poison is a drug called warfarin. It’s regularly prescribed by Doctors to patients who are at risk of developing a blood clot. The amount of warfarin someone would need to have the same effects as a rat are enormous and it’s counteracted by sodium. Something most Americans eat too much of. Is the story possible, yeah, who knows how old it is and how many retellings it’s been through. Would I take this as the gospel truth? No.

Having met the hella transphobic pieces of shit who live in the nice houses with the white picket fences and neatly manicured lawns, I could believe they would do this to their own child if they’re ‘living a life of perversion’. I’ve been lucky with my family, but I’ve met some people who had some truly hair-raising stories about what their own parents did to them when they came out of the closet. Hell, some of the people I knew were 100% cishet, they just lost their faith and left their family’s religion.

It’s genuinely horrifying. Holy shit, the delusions that religious people indulge in drive them to some absolutely terrifying conclusions.

I hope it didn’t come across as me being transphobic. I didn’t try to disprove the story I just wanted to say that it is a story that has truth in it, but has been subjected to the retelling process as all stories are.
