But the man still speaks the truth.

I mean yes. Everything he says about the super girl should be taken with a pinch of salt, but i did not stop watching marvel movies because they were superhero movies. I stopped whatching them because they were bad movied. Predictable, uninspired and predigested slop.

But, for Peter Safran, co-CEO of DC Studios alongside James Gunn, there was never superhero fatigue. Speaking to The Associated Press, he insisted there was instead “mediocre movie fatigue.” His point is that superhero movies just weren’t as good any more, resulting in a desire from audiences for something a bit different.

    I mean…

    Those were James Gunn’s movies…

I watched the Peace maker podcasts and they had a director on there that flat out said the only way to working DC was to just always do what James Gunn would do.

The same fatigue is about to start setting in with DC soon too.

The problem is tying a giant studio to one person’s vision and tone.

If the only DC stuff is stuff James Gunn loves, eventually people get tired of it. The franchise change and reboot buys time, but eventually fatigue sets in

      I already have it.

I couldn’t finish Peacemaker, The Batman, etc. Got Superman from my public library and found it boring. Supergirl seems like DC trying to imitate Ryan Reynolds more than Gunn.

I’m not sure I agree. Peacemaker is a show written by James Gunn with James Gunn as the showrunner. So it makes sense James Gunn had a lot of input.

But the upcoming Supergirl film, not James Gunn. The upcoming Lanterns series, not James Gunn. The upcoming Clayface film, not James Gunn.

Yes, James Gunn started this new DCU, and he’s the co-CEO, so he’s going to be involved, but it’s a little early to say that he is the only a James Gunn universe. Yes, technically at the moment all released projects are, but we’re just getting started. The future has more variety.

I am already tired of James Gunn. He makes the same movie no matter the characters. It is all one big music video with segments of meta humor to tie it all together. I went to the theater to see Superman and while I was entertained I barely remember the plot outside of chimps and typewriters.
